Just a few hours' drive from the ports of Caen, St Malo and Le Havre, and just over an hour from Nantes, Angers, La Rochelle or Poitiers airports, Argenton Alpacas at Les Brissonnières is a working Alpaca Farm. With beautiful animals to get to know, leisure and sporting facilities on the doorstep, great wines to sample locally and such a beautiful landscape to discover around the farm, there is something here for everyone!
We have been keeping Alpacas since September 2009 having fallen in love with their inquisitiveness, cute faces and quiet disposition. We raise Alpacas for their fleece and to sell on to other Alpaca lovers. Alpacas are great company and we are happy for you to walk up to the pastures and see them during your stay. On your arrival, we will give you short intro to Alpacas and what to do when you are with them. Most of this is common sense and you'll find that Alpacas are very welcoming. Once you have settled in we will be happy to take you on your own private guided tour of the farm and the Alpacas. You will have your own lawn area in which to eat or sit out in the sun but also, the rest of the grounds will be open to you. The farm is open to the public but the public areas are well away from the Gite. Sometimes we will take groups on guided tours and you are welcome to join in.
